St. David’s Episcopal Church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark – 98 worshiping communities in Northern New Jersey.

The Diocese of Newark is a member of the Episcopal Church.  The Episcopal Church is similar to other catholic churches in terms of our liturgy and structure, but with an emphasis on democratically elected leaders and policies.  We are often recognized as being progressive among churches.  While primarily in the United States, the Episcopal Church also has a presence in 18 other countries around the world.

The Episcopal Church is a constituent member of the worldwide Anglican Communion – a collection of 38 independent churches sharing a spiritual connection to the leadership of the Archbishop of Canterbury.  Broadly, the common theme in the Anglican Communion is our shared expressions of worship.  We share the reformed catholic approach to Christian worship as originally found in the Church of England.
