The XP (chi rho) are two Greek
Letters abbreviating the word “Christ”. It was a sign used during the
persecutions of the Church at the hands of the Roman Empire (A.D. 29-314) by
which members identified each other and continued to gather illegally to
celebrate Communion and to read the Scriptures. Today it is a reminder to us of
the risk and difficulty of being a follower of Christ. This window is in memory
of Richard Stoliker Davis (1898-1956)
